The app has a simple easy-to-use interface to control speed, direction, lights, and realistic train sounds built right into the app. Control as many trains as you want simultaneously from up to 100 ft, and enjoy updated features through regular app updates. Also use E-Z App to update the firmware in your Bachmann E-Z App train to take advantage of all the latest features.

This will update the firmware in your loco giving it new capabilities including:
Ultra silent motor operation.
Improved slow speed performance (tap once above throttle to roll)
Improved standard DC mode
You must have an internet connection to update firmware.
If your firmware needs updating, a yellow exclamation point will appear beside your loco. Click the exclamation point and confirm to begin update. Update takes approximately 2 minutes. Do not power down loco or iDevice during firmware update.
Enjoy your new features. 1.08 03/18/2016 Revamped and new sounds. Choose from 3 horns (diesel), 3 whistles (steam) and 3 bells.
Access sound panel from speaker icon in upper-right of train control screen.
Swipe sound panel out further to customize sounds.
Improved long horn playback.
